I can't think of anything else on BB right now. There was also a spinoff of BB in the 60's named Albert(Blues Boy)King. He worked the St. Louis area, and played one of the first Flying A guitars. He played left handed, and wouldn't you know it he also named his guitar with a slight name difference. Lucy!

As a former drummer, I got to work a club with BB in St. Louis. He is a true perfectionist. I remember starting a song with a basic 4 chord progression, and BB smiling at the crowd with his fomous opening lick, turned around and scowled at the bass player and said "B flat G__Damnit!,then turned back to the crowd with that big smile again. He was fun to jam with. I assume you know that Lucille is is guitar. If I can think of anything else,I will try to share it with you.

...you know this about B.B. but his cousin was Bukka White and BB developed his style of playing trying to imitate his slide playing but he couldn't play slide so he developed his tecnique and sound by imitating Bukka

My favorite blues-only site is www.thebluehighway.com. For LOTS of information on B.B., I think you'll have to go to books, especially his 1996 autobiography, "Blues All Around Me," which just came out in paperback last year. It's great that you're starting a site on B.B.! I visited it, and you have a good start.

Don't know too much about bb except his guitars' name is 'Lucille'. He rocked the University of Maine in Farmingtons' Gymnasium to the rafters in February of 1973. He let alot of people come up on stage during the concert, and sing with him. He played to a packed house of about 500 in this small new england college gymnasium. Rocco said it was 'one of the best concerts i've ever seen!!!
